1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Smoosh: Group Scorekeeper ("Smoosh", "the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of service

Smoosh is a recreational scorekeeping app that helps small groups track matches, leaderboards, and stats for racket sports including table tennis, padel, badminton, and tennis. It is intended for personal, non-commercial use by groups of people who know each other.

3. Your account

You must sign in with a Google or Apple account to use Smoosh. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information and keep your display name appropriate for a shared group environment.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or groups.
  • Abuse, harass, or impersonate other users.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
  • Use automated scripts to interact with the service without permission.
  • Enter false or misleading match data to manipulate leaderboards.

5. User-generated content

You are responsible for the content you submit — group names, player names, match data, and any other content. You grant us a limited license to store and display this content solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Smoosh offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms. We do not process payments directly.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their policies.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Smoosh is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that match data will never be lost. Use the service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or match history.

9. Termination

You may stop using Smoosh at any time and delete your account from Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
